Delete your account
How to permanently delete your MyHeavyPlantMate account and all of its data.
You can delete your MyHeavyPlantMate account whenever you like. There are two ways to do it.
1. In the app (quickest)
- Open the MyHeavyPlantMate app on your phone.
- Go to More → Your data → Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently delete account.
Your account is deleted immediately. You’ll need an internet connection.
2. By email
If you can’t get into the app, email [email protected]:
- use the subject “Delete my account”;
- send it from the email address on your account, so we know the request is really from you.
We’ll delete your account within 30 days and email you to confirm. If you write from a different address, we’ll need to check it’s you first.
What gets deleted
Everything. Deleting your account permanently removes, from our systems:
- your account and sign-in details, including your email address, display name, password and any Apple or Google sign-in link;
- all your machines and engines, engine hours, shifts, daily checks and checklists, defects, maintenance jobs, service records, fuel entries, attachments, operators, hire periods and document records;
- all the photos and PDF files you have added, including shift and defect photos;
- your registered devices and sign-in sessions, which signs you out everywhere.
On the device you delete from, the app also clears your records and files. This can’t be undone. We can’t recover a deleted account.
Good to know
- Photos and files are deleted along with your account. If you want to keep any, share or export them from the app before you delete your account.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in our backups for up to 14 days, until they are deleted. It isn’t used in the meantime.
- Other phones: if you’re signed in on another device, it will be signed out. Uninstall the app from it to remove any copy left there.
- Uninstalling the app on its own does not delete your account.
